When it comes to Pride, we like reflecting on the words of Zenele Mulholi - “If I wait for someone else to validate my existence, it will mean that I’m shortchanging myself.” Not just words that have meaning for the LGBTQIA+ community, but also applies for kinky people too! Whilst lots of us have used our communities to validate our kinkiness or desirability - there is nothing more powerful than being confident in who we are. Especially if who you are is someone who loves to be locked in chastity.
House of Denial has always been proud to be queer inclusive and is a business with one queer owner. So when we embarked on our 3D printed range, we wanted something fun and that spoke to our values as a brand. What better than a cage with the Progress Pride Flag on it?!
Based on the Progress flag design that was updated by Daniel Quasar in 2018, this cage is ideal for the days when you just want to feel supported and affirmed - under your clothes during a day of dull work meetings perhaps? Or maybe you’ll wear it front and centre - pardon the innuendo - for your Pride outfit this year, or attending the Folsom Street Fair (if you do, remember to tag us on social media!). But Pride cages are for all year round, not just for a month here or a visibility day there. Be free to be yourself - but not free to touch yourself - all year round.
This cage set comes with our innovative Hexlock® design, which uses hex screws and comes with an Allen key pendant that can be added to necklaces, bracelets, key chains or earrings. The Hexlock design allows for a streamlined curve to the top of the cage and ring, preventing bulk at the top of the design and also allowing the stripes of the pride flag to be clearly seen.
Please bear in mind that with our 3D-printed designs, there may be some very minor variations in each design, meaning that each cage is visually unique. We do work very hard to ensure a consistent quality finish, but please reach out to us if you have any concerns.
Price Disclaimer
Being an LGBTQIA+ inclusive business, we’re aware of rainbow washing and price gouging (or Pride Gouging as it might be more appropriate in this instance) and we’re staunchly against this practice. The Pride sets including the rings are more expensive than our standard 3D printed designs, and we want to be transparent about why that is. In order to create these special designs - and others that you’ll see from us - we print these cages using a specialist colour printer. With our other designs, the colour is imparted using another method. The colour 3D printer costs more to run, which means that we’ve had to reflect that in our pricing of these devices.
